This 3-hour workshop provides insider's knowledge of college. We expose the predominant pitfalls of the first year and impart core strategies for avoiding these pitfalls. We teach you how to:

  • Master the academic system.
  • Tackle the daily challenges of student life.
  • Hone your study and time management skills.
  • Absorb as much as you can in your first year.

The 3 hour workshop is tailored to each student participant. Discussions incorporate examples from the colleges and universities that participants will attend. Also, as part of the registration process, we ask students to send their most pressing questions to Sky Rocket 101. These questions may be general, or they may concern the specific school that the student will attend. Depending on the nature of the question, we provide an answer during the workshop or in a follow up email.

Throughout the workshop we draw from our philosophy that the pursuit of knowledge defines you. Who you are shapes the choices you make, and by the same token, the choices you make shape you. By taking steps to increase your self-awareness during college, you will make better decisions, maximize your academic experience and lay the ground for your professional and personal future.

After the workshop we stay in touch with you in two ways:

  1. We follow up with you twice by email or phone during the course of your first semester.
  2. We invite you to join the SR 101 social network where you will have the opportunity to ask questions, exchange experiences and take part in a moderated peer support system.
